Chris has been working with these carburetors since 1978. He adapted his first set in 1984, which was a 1972 Spitfire 1300. Since that day Chris has never purchased another Weber Carburetor, and now with Weber going out of business there is no other alternative. These carburetors replace old world "after market performance side draft and O. E. carbs with the latest technology from Japan."This is the best and only alternative for "new" performance carburetor kits which puts PRI at the forefront. To do this successfully one has to be extremely knowledgeable with  the carburetors as well as the engine they are going on in order to get the package to work as fine as ours do. With our strong customer relations and unlimited tech support  PRI is again changing the way performance parts are sold.

THE HISTORY OF THESE MOTORCYCLE RACING CARBURETORS

"I have been working with these carburetors since 1978  as a builder of Super bikes." Super bike racing is a motorcycle racing series sanctioned by the AMA (American Motorcycle Association) which then ruled any motorcycle up to 1015cc can compete. This class mostly consisted of highly built four cylinder 4 stroke Japanese street bikes then relatively new to the market. The legendary Kawasaki Z1 900 and Honda CB 750 were the two favorite bikes to build for the class.

As the sport rapidly gained in popularity the Japanese carburetor company Mikuni saw the need for   "tune-able" high performance carburetors. Something that would out perform their production line o. e. units that came on these bikes. Keihin, another  Japanese o. e. supplier of motorcycle carburetors followed several years later with their racing units. Over the years the competition between the two companies heated up and the results are what they offer today which are hi-tech, compact, light weight carburetors designed for the motorcycle racing industry. The two companies brought carburetors to a whole new level, far beyond Weber's wildest imagination. These m/c racing units from Japan atomize fuel better and increase port velocity over any other carburetor today. Conclusional factiod: More power, better mileage, half the weight and flawless reliability.  

Climb aboard! These carburetors are perfect replacements for these old side draught cars of ours. An engine doesn't know what's feeding it, nor does a carburetor know what  it is bolted to. It is all in the tuning and development of the adaptation. No one has been doing it longer or does it better and safer than Chris at PRI. I am in my 5th year of producing and selling these kits for the public.  Remember where you heard, saw and read about it first!!!

PRI PRI MIKUNI FLAT SLIDE CARBURETOR KITS

Or economical performance replacement for the Stromberg carburetor fitted with a chrome or powder coated flat black filter cover. Derived from the world famous Lucas sliding door injection which helped Jaguar dominate the racing world. Lucas engineers found flat slide to have two great advantages over the typical round piston air valve and butterfly style throttle plates. Comes as Single (Spitfire 1300/1500) or Dual Carburetor setups (for 6 cylinder Triumphs).
